Living close to city, I rarely see frost on these cold mornings.
The frost reminded me of a magnetic sand that I used to play with in my childhood. My mind immediately races back to fond memories of growing up in Japan.

I felt warmth in my heart even though the coldness penetrated every layer to my skin..

To see these frost covered eucalyptus leaves created images of each leaf happily wearing their uniquely different crystal fashion. As though they were just about to go to the Grand Ball.

The frost may cover the same leaves tomorrow morning, or perhaps not but I certainly appreciated the moment to capture this most rare event on that especially chilly day.

Every particular in nature,

a leaf, a drop, a crystal,

a moment in time...

partakes of the perfection

of the whole.
