Some trees are born to be abstract artists.

The colour of their bark is always changing, often imperceptible unless you take the time to really see.

I found this little piece of colourful bark hanging on tree, patiently waiting to fall off so it can reveal a new generation behind.

During the last moment of this tiny bark's life it looked like a butterfly and made me smile.

I have tried to capture a glimpse of colours and allow my imagination to create a story, so next time you see a tree,

stop and look closely and let your mind create its own story.
